Hi there! I'd like to share with you my sons hair wash and styling routine :)
His hair is naturally type 4B but once it's been styled it has the illusion of 4A hair :) both are great but with this routine it's so much easier to handle. So I'll take you through step by step, showing you the products as I go along. I'll also link where the product is available from x
1st Step: Comb
It's so important to thoroughly before washing as it can get really tangled. This comb from the body shop is so good for getting out any knots and not too harsh for your little ones head. Only £4 and can be used on wet or dry hair.
2nd Step: Shampoo
This shampoo I use for both me and him, it's smells great, no sulphates (so important!) and doesn't dry out whatsoever. despite having no sulphates it's really easy to foam up as opposed to most no sulphate products out there. It's my favourite shampoo ever! I usually do 2 washes maximum but I'll do 1 shampoo maybe during the week if I've used a little more product in his hair than usual.
3rd Step; Conditioner
This is absolutely heaven sent! THE SMELL IS ABSOLUTELY DIVINE and the texture is so gorgeous and smooth and soft. It says to us sparingly which normally, I would actually use an absolute tonne of conditioner but with this you really don't need to. here:s what it looks like on...
It's quite thick but in a good way and I've cut down on half the products I'm using on his hair and his curls are so much more defined for much longer. Whilst the conditioner is on, I comb through his hair once more.

4th Step: Dry
This is his hair after I've washed the conditioner off, I shake all water off just using my hand, for defined and shiny curls don't comb all the all the way through and don't towel dry.
Step 5: Moisturise and Style
So here I've used a generous blob of hair moisturiser and used the wooden comb JUST ON THE ROOTS to stretch out his hair, and whilst im applying the moisturiser, I stretch out his hair with my hands as if i'm putting it into a ponytail and then just let go and massage for about 10 seconds. No build up whatsoever!
I couldn't find this online except for it being shipped from the US, but this is available in most afro hair care shops for under £3.
I leave it to work in by itself for a few minute then give it a few sprays of this coconut spritz, smells gorgeous and is super light, this also gives an amazing shine.

And this is the finished result! Beautiful shiny curls and it lasts like this ALL day, and at night he wears a loose hair bonnet although he hates it and says he looks like a girl LOL :D
Sidenote: Romeys hair has amazing stretch game, his hair is actually the perfect length for a little bun :)
